Lion Report

Zoe Vozick is a 3rd Grader at Basalt Elementary School. She compiled this report on Lions for her class and agreed to share it with everybody.  This is a great report to learn more about these large felines.  We even have Zoe's notes, so you can see how she compiled her work and what other fun facts she discovered.

Educational Material

To promote and encourage environmental learning and literacy, NaDEET a partner of WildiZe has developed a variety of written materials relevant to conservation topics in Africa.

These materials are written in basic English to be easily understood and are specific to the Namibian context. These materia enable program participants to extend their learning beyond their NaDEET Centre course and  increase their environmental literacy.

PDF Booklet Series
The It's Time to... booklet series aims to bring NaDEET's environmental education to a greater audience. There is an activity book for school children entitled It's Time to Change: Learning and Living for Nature. This is followed by an adult book on solar cooking  - It's Time to Solar Cook. There is a sustainable living guidebook for rural households, It's Time to be Efficient that is written in English and Afrikaans.  It's Time to Identify is an identification booklet for animals and plants of Namibia.

Bush Telegraph African Youth Magazine

The Bush Telegraph is a youth magazine that is available for free to educators,learners and interested Namibians. Since its original inception the Bush Telegraph has grown from a readership of 500 to over 15,000. This biannual magazine covers a variety of environmental topics relevant to the Namibian context.
