The Loiyangalani Health Clinic is the only one for miles around.  It provides vital medical services and education for several communities.

WildiZe grants have been used for basic medical supplies such as blood pressure cusps, printing sanitation guides that will help to improve the overall knowledge about health and sanitation and what leads to the various diseases that plague the area: Malaria, Cholera, TB, AIDs, and vitamin deficiencies and aspects of poor quality drinking water.

WildiZe also supplies basic materials such as gauze, aspirin, thermometers and bursary funding for those who need to travel farther distance for medical treatment sucah as  x-rays or hospitalization.  We are also proud to have been able to provide bursary fund support those who can’t afford treatment.

FAST FACTS:

Loiyangalani, means a place of many trees in the native Samburu tongue, and for the nomads and other travelers that follow these ancient trade routes "trees" means that there is water there also. The village of Loiyangalani not only provides an oasis stopover after traveling hundreds of miles through the blood black lava hills, but is located at the edge of the largest body of water in Kenya, Lake Turkana.

There is a little more infrastructure in this area as compared to other NFD areas, primarily because of the Oasis Hotel that has been the center of the town for many years.

Loiyangalani represents another settlement of nomadic tribespeople that have learned to live synergistically in an area with all the environmental odds stacked against them.
