We departed from Wilson airport in Kenya to Illeret at the far northern tip of Lake Turkana. From there we met up with the vehicles for the 8hr drive up the Omo River to Omo Rate, where we camped for the next 8 days visiting a Hammer tribal village for the Bull Jumping Ceremony, a Kara village for bull jumping and Mursi people- all who depend upon the Omo River for their living.
