Not every day in the life of WildiZe Foundation is grand excitement, but the nature of life can certainly make every day an adventure! With the founding of the non-profit entity. WildiZe Foundation we can work directly to support its mission statement more effectively, and for you this means that the profits from our photographic, art and artifact sales will also become a tax deduction for YOU( within the guidelines of the US tax code)! Be sure to heck back in to read about the further adventures of the Wildcrew and of Eli Weiss, Wildlife and Nature Photographer and her intrepid assistant, Sinda- after returning from this most recent safari to the Continent of Africa. coming up!! The Wildcrew is heading for Kenya from August through September 2001! We are headed to the windswept Northern Frontier District to Loiyangalani, Kalacha Dida, .Then, we will head down south into the Tsavo District to visit the Taita Discovery Centre, and spend time in the Maasai Mara. We'll be heading into Tanzania toward the end of our stay. Please be sure to check in here for the news and tales of our adventures in September! We were going into Rwanda for a visit with the Mountain Gorillas, but due to rebel activity there and the recent tragedy of two gorillas that were shot, killed and eaten, we have decided that at this time safety must prevail and we have cancelled that visit. It has been confirmed that the two killed gorillas were not from the habituated groups but none-the-less, this is a terrible loss for the wild community. check our our LYNX page to learn about the groups and projects we will be with! and our gnusletter for the most recent updates We will bring back our adventures and news of the irreplaceable beauty and thrill of watching wildlife in its environment and working with the people who live amongst them. As you read this,we will be meeting with our linked organizations, Grantees and Scholarship Students, along with the local communities who have become like families to us. We will be dispersing the funds that we have raised through YOUR generous donations, sales of art and artifacts and the proceeds from our 2001 'Walk on the Wild Side' Fundraising event held March 30 in Aspen...These funds will supply help to the communities and conservation and educational needs. Many of WildiZe Foundation projects involves helping the people and communities the we visit in Africa. As you might expect, the communities are in need of so much and it takes so little of what we have to make a difference to them. Did you know that what you spend on two Mocha Lattes (skinny, extra Mocha please) would send a child to school for a year? Equally important, many villages have no clean water available, and one of WildiZe Foundation 'wish list' projects is to find a viable and sustainable way to obtain clean drinking water for these communities. Consider this the next time you let the water run while you are brushing your teeth, washing the dishes, or taking a bath! The good news is that you can help! WildiZe Foundation has opened three exhibits since December, 1999! There is a lot of work that goes into the planning, installing and marketing of a gallery exhibit. WildiZe Foundation is always ready to find more places to exhibit our stunning educational wildlife and cultural visual safaris! If you looking for a dynamic, WildExhibit for your gallery , photography by , Eli Weiss, -- please contact us . See our online gallery, for some ideas. Don't have any walls? WildiZe Foundation has a great selection of fine art cards, stunning bookmarks, calendars and artifacts!
